Ariadne (2021) Animated short-film in progress
Mr. Bismarck, the Minotaur, is elected Prime-minister of the Ariadne Labyrinth where citizens can’t escape and intruders
cannot penetrate. Homunculus, a frail individual, is shot in the middle of the main square and is saved by Adne, a woman who
also feels trapped in this regime. They begin a mutual process of healing and self-knowledge, preparing themselves to question the
Minotaur and the Labyrinth.
The idea for this film presents us with a “contemporary cocktail“ of mythologies and archetypes that come together in order to illustrate an allegory which is
intended to reveal some of the current social, cultural and political challenges that we‘re facing as a civilization. The topic of the Minotaur and the labyrinth
comes in a context where the need to build walls and divisions is taking place again in our day and time.
